The customer is a leading real estate and facility management company with a large portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. They manage spatial data for thousands of buildings and needed a reliable partner to digitize their legacy floor plans. DIN Engineering has collaborated with this client on multiple digitization and AutoCAD-based projects over the years.
The client had a massive backlog of floor plans in PDF, scanned images, and paper formats, which needed to be converted into editable CAD and SVG formats. These digitized plans were essential for property management, renovation planning, and integration with their CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) system. Accuracy, turnaround time, and consistent layering standards were critical. Each plan needed to be delivered in specified CAD layers and SVG structure with detailed annotations, furniture layouts, and space usage details.
DIN Engineering deployed a skilled team of CAD drafters and QA specialists to digitize and convert floor plans using AutoCAD and vector tools. Each floor plan was processed using a checklist-driven workflow to ensure accuracy in scale, alignment, and layering. A separate team was responsible for creating optimized SVG exports suitable for web integration. We also set up a version-control repository to manage revisions and client feedback efficiently. Regular syncs were held to align on specifications and accommodate updates based on evolving client requirements.
