About the Customer 

Our customer is a multidisciplined engineering, planning, and environmental services firm with headquarters located in the United States. Offering wide range of services focused on aviation, buildings, construction, enterprise solutions, federal, survey. DIN Engineering and the client have enjoyed a sustained relationship for an extended period of a decade and the association is going stronger.

Business Challenge

Customer has sought collaboration with DIN for store mapping of a US retail chain giant at different locations. Client would like to design and optimizing the layout of loading docks, parking spaces, and circulation routes to ensure efficient operations and safety compliance. Designing specific areas that facilitate quick turnaround times for delivery trucks while minimizing disruptions to store operations. The client wanted a detailed Store drawings to be prepared using CAD software and based upon Imageries.

Project also included the following challenges:

1. The client needed 36 Store drawings to be completed within 2 weeks’ time.
2. There was a lack of clarity in the images provided by the client.

Solution

DIN Engineering keeping in mind the various requirements of the client:

1. The team included an account manager, four design experts, and a qualified Quality specialist. The inclusion of five team members reflected a scaling up to handle the large volume of store drawings in a short period of time.
2. Utilize CAD software to design efficient CAD layouts that maximize the use of available space. 
3. By strategically arranging loading docks, parking space layout, and circulation routes. Loading area layouts that streamline the loading and unloading process, allowing for faster turnaround times for logistics.

Outcome

1. DIN’s updated CAD layout facilitate smooth traffic flow, reducing congestion and minimizing delays for delivery vehicles entering and exiting the loading area.
2. Quality Output: Precise calibration facilitates optimal placement of Tiles and ensure optimal quality have been achieved.
